On Sunday, October 4, Glennie United Methodist Church celebrated St. Francis of Assisi, the Patron Saint of Animals, by hosting a Blessing of the Animals for the community. The day was sunny and warm, creating a wonderful atmosphere filled with joy for both pets and their owners.
During the gathering, six dogs and two cats received blessings, and a memorial was held for a beloved dog who had passed away. A special blessing was also offered for the pet owners, giving thanks for their love and care for the wonderful creatures God has entrusted to them.
It was a joyful day of celebrating the special bond between people and their beloved pets!
