I produced the Blessing of the Animals event held at the Harrisville United Methodist Church. I am a lay leader of that church and an ordained Interfaith Minister. I was asked by Pastor Reeve to take this event on this year. The Blessing of the Animals is a round robin event between St. Andrews Episcopal church and St. Raphael Catholic church, inviting other churches to participate each year. When I began advertising it, one of our congregants asked if she could bring her pets, which are Clydesdale horses, and I readily agreed. It was an amazing day with community members as well as our own congregants. There were cats and dogs, of course, but the Clydesdales were amazing. The horse I am blessing in the picture is Jack.
